| Hey Guys! Summer is going great! Work is going good. I'm excited because I just recently bought the new Dashboard Confessional CD!! I was totally stoked when I heard they were coming out with a new cd. So I bought it. Then right after I bought it I found out that Sara was going to buy it for me, so I kinda felt bad. But hey, look at what a wonderful, loving girlfriend I have. She's the Best!
Well, at the beginning of the summer my grandmother gave me her guitar so that I could learn, because she never did. So now I'm trying to learn to play the guitar...it's pretty hard. I didn't really know how to start, so now I'm just trying to learn the major chord and hopefully I can do something with those.
Oh and for those of you who haven't seen the new Pirates of the Caribbean, Go Watch It!! It's great! Different than I thought, but it's still GREAT!!
Well that's about all right now. I'll write more later if think of anything.
| "Trying to hear God's voice in a world without burning bushes can leave us scratching our heads." - Rich Wagner
God is doing amazing things in my life right now. Many awesome things are happening to me, however Satan is completely attacking me right now. I finally got a job at Brookshire's grocery store, which is good, but I have been put off from starting for about 2 1/2 weeks now. And the church that I have been trying to become the music minister of keeps telling me to be patient, however they have been dragging me along for 3 months now. You'd think with all of these people putting me off that I would have lots of free time, however I just feel that all of my time with God gets cut short.
On the better side, God is truly speaking to me in amazing ways. My biggest struggle is hearing Him sometimes. I really need prayer for God to open my ears and help me to understand what I need to do next. I have been reading The Gospel Unplugged by Rich Wagner and it's an awesome book. This book takes many different christian rock songs and tells the story behind them. One thing that he pointed out was this:
"Life becomes a shoulder shrug.....not only do we stop making an effort to come out of the rut, but we actually become content in it."
This statement hit me hard. I had to just sit and think about this for a while. God has said so much to me by this one statement. Maybe this statement will help many of you to make "an effort to come out of the rut."
I hope God does wonderful things in all of your lives throughout this week. Trust Him and give Him a reason to Trust You.

| Hey all. Sorry I haven't posted in a wicked long time, but school has been pretty hectic.
So yeah, school started a month ago and is going great. Studying, practicing, and memorizing new music is taking up nearly all of my spare time. Although, I am sick for the time being, so that takes out practicing for voice. However, it's not good since it is my principal instrument. On the other hand, classes are going good. They aren't too hard, yet. It should be a pretty good year. Marching band this year is going to be great. We are marching "Tommy, the Pinball Wizard". It's going to be great! THE BEST IT'S EVER BEEN!
God has truly been openning my eyes to really wonderful thing and I thank him so much for being My God. Always strive for God, you can Never go wrong.

| Hey everyone! My computer went postal and I can't use it right now, however hopefully I will be able to repair it tonight. Right now, I am using the computer in my mom's band room. It works and it's fast so I'm satisfied. Well, yesterday my mom sang a special in the a.m. service and I sang a special in the p.m. service. My mom did well, however mine didn't go as planned. I told the sound man that I could barely heard the music in the monitor during the practice, so he tells me that he turned it up. Then, when I perform the song, the monitor is softer than it was before. So yeah, it wasn't that great of an experience. God was really speaking to me through the song and also teaching me to remmeber not to take the credit and to trust Him to get me through it. I really liked the song, though. In fact, I'm listening to it right now. It has a really great message. I definitely recommend listening to it sometime.
On another note, I am slowly but surely packing up my stuff for college. I'm getting pretty excited about moving in. I move in two days before everyone else. That gives me plenty of time to get my stuff organized before my roommate and suitemates get there. Otherwise, it would just be utter caos. Also, I get to see Sara for the first time all summer. Which is wicked awesome!!! Then, after moving in, Sara and I are going to take my mom to meet her parents for the first time after we have been together 9 months. How exciting of a day! So yeah, God is awesome. And He's just using me and talking to me a lot lately. Rock On for God.
Well, that's it for now. Have a great day and week! Keep the faith flowing!

| Hey peeps. So yeah, it's been a long while since the last one, but I've been pretty busy. I just got back from my dad's house yesterday and I had a good time with them. (My neices have so much energy!!!) Then, last week I went with my mom to ArkCDA. (which is a convention for Arkansas Choir Directors) The week before that I went to ABA, again with my mom, however my dad was there. ABA- Arkansas Bandmasters Association. (for band directors) And while I was at ABA, I got to see an amazing performance by the drum and bugle corp Phanton Regiment. It was the cool band event that I have ever been to. It was awesome!

Then the week before that was senior high band camp at ATU. I only went to the last two days of it. Band directors are hilarious. (I should know I have two of them for parents) So yeah, it's been pretty hectic. But God has been talking to me in so many different ways and it's awesome. God's GREAT! His followers are too.
Nothing else is going on right now, other than moving to college in one week!!! Summer went fast. I'm ready to get back and see all of my friends and Sara especially, but I'm not really ready for classes to start. Of course, who is? Well, that's all for now. Have a great rest of the summer! Enjoy!
And always Pray Continually.
